Project Definition and Goals
Our customer is an international Corporation producing automobiles and commercial vehicles. The customer goal was to replace the existing customs software for import processes with a new centralized system that would serve all German locations, as well as the logistic location in France. An additional aim was to implement the new legal requirements that must be observed when goods are shipped outside the European Union. BEMA Consulting GmbH is responsible for the administration of middleware and databases, installation of a new system, the migration and patch management, Trace and Alert data, application deployment as well as development and maintenance of technical and process orientated documentation and knowledge base.

Project Results and Customer Benefits
IT-Consultants at BEMA Consulting GmbH ensured that the project goal was achieved. Due to government aid, timelines and milestones were pre-defined, all of which were completed successfully. The final step, the Customs Handling Software  Project, was successfully implemented to provide a customs handling system in the Import Department for all German sites. This now insures that customs handling is an integrated part of the pre- and post-production procedures which is of valuable use in Procurement as well as in Sales and shipping.
